Top MBA entrance exam other than CAT Craze of pursuing MBA among graduates has increased in recent times and so has competition with it. CAT is the most popular entrance exam among MBA enthusiasts through which they get admission in top IIMs, however due to intense competition, thousands of MBA aspirants and limited number of seats it becomes difficult for everyone to qualify. Important question which then pops up is - what other entrance exam option does a MBA aspirant have other than CAT? MAT- management aptitude test
MAT tests b-school aspirants in five main subjects namely Language Comprehension, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis, Intelligence & Critical Reasoning and Indian & Global Environment Section. MAT also offers candidates a choice of giving the exam either in offline or online mode.
SNAP- symbiosis National aptitude test
MCQ type questions, consisting of four sections namely General English, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Logical & Analytical Reasoning. There is negative marking as well.
NMAT- Narsee monjee management aptitude test
MCQ based questions consisting of topics namely, Language Skills, Quantitative Skills, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency, and Logical Reasoning. What is unique about this entrance exam is that candidates can appear thrice in 72 days to give the exam and improve their score.
CMAT- common management admission test
Objective type questions with four main sections i.e., Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. There is negative marking.
IIFT- indian institute of foreign trade MBA entrance test
Online exam is conducted with topics including English comprehension, general knowledge and awareness, logical reasoning and quantitative analysis, followed by a personal interview.
MAHCET- Maharashtra common entrance test
Objective type questions including questions from verbal reasoning, data interpretation, data sufficiency, quantitative analysis, non-verbal reasoning and reading comprehension.
B-MAT- Bhartiya Vidyapeeth management admission test
Bachelor’s degree from any recognised university (any discipline)
MCQ type questions with no negative marking.
It is true that CAT is the top entrance exam for MBA aspirants to pursue. However one should also consider other options such as those mentioned above.
