hello

Basically there are three types of nursing course: ANM,GNM and BSc nursing.

ANM stands for Auxiliary nursing midwifey. It is a 2 years diploma course that aim to prepare young aspirant to join as community health workers.

GNM stands for general nursing midwifey. It is an alternative for aspiring nurses after completing grade 12th. it is Diploma course of 3 and a half years. students are prepared to care for patients at large and not just a single community.

BSc nursing: it is a most popular nursing program. it is 4 year course. students are trained in both practical and theoretical areas. they are prepared to take care for the sick and diseased as well.

Auxiliary nurse midwife or Auxiliary nurse hybrids commonly known as ANM, is a village-level female health worker in India who is known as the first contact person between the community and the health services.

General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) : Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) is a three-year programme aimed to prepare students to work effectively as members of the health team .

B. Sc. Nursing is a four-year undergraduate programme focused on developing critical care, advanced thinking skills, proficiency and values necessary for the practice of professional nursing and midwifery as mentioned in the National Health Policy 2002.
