Hi Student,

There are two ways that aspirants can choose in order to join ISRO.

  • After completing engineering through the ISRO Centralized Recruitment Board (ICRB) examination
  • Getting admission to the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram for direct recruitment to ISRO.

The first way of joining ISRO

The ISRO ICRB examination is a two stage examination. It comprises of a national-level written exam (offline mode) and a personal interview. The minimum qualification required is BE/BTech with at least 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA. The maximum age limit is 30 years.

The second way of joining ISRO

The second way is through IIST. After Class 12, students can also get admission into the IIST by clearing the JEE Mains and Advanced with a good rank. Apart from this they have to satisfy certain eligibility criteria. To be eligible for ISRO Counselling, IIST graduates must have scored above 7.5 CGPA or equivalent percentage.

Hope it helps you.
