what are transformants and non transformants?
Answer (1)
Hi,
Transformants- these are the bacterial cells which incorporate plasmid DNA into their genome.
Non transformants - these are the bacterial cells which take up the plasmid but do not incorporate the plasmid DNA into their genome.
Further tranformants are of two types - recombinants and non- recombinants .
Hope it helps...
