Hello,

Work Ex is given 30% weight-age in Admission Process at top IIMs.

But the selection process for IIMs and other top Schools includes multiple parameters though CAT score and Personal interview normally have the highest weightage. The IIMs have revealed their formula for selection (can change year to year).

Most of the IIMs have given some weightage to Work Experience (Range from 5% to 15%). The points are given based on months of experience with a peak of 24–36 months depending on the IIM. (No additional points for work exp greater than that).

Hope that clarifies. Also in the Personal Interview, you can expect questions related to your experience.
