What makes any exam difficult?
The syllabus.
The acceptance rate.
The number of questions vs the time alloted to answer them.
The difficulty level of the questions given.
The most important of all these points is the second one, so let’s analyse the question on the basis of 2nd point.
The acceptance rate of MIT is 7.1%.
The acceptance rate for Stanford University is 4.65%.
The acceptance rate for Harvard University is 5.8%.
The acceptance rate for Yale University is 6.7%.
The acceptance rate of the top iits is 0.41%.
The number of applicants applying for the jee mains is app. 12,00,000 every year, and to get admissions in a decent branch in the top iits your rank must be less than 5000, hence the acceptance rate becomes 0.4%.
According to the statistics, if you apply for the top colleges in the world , you have 20 times more chance to get selected as compared to the chances of your selection in the iits.
Some serious analysis-
You can survive an earthquake, but there are less chances to clear the iitjee.
You can survive your dad’s anger, but there are less chances to clear the iitjee.
You can survive a avalanche, but there are less chances to clear the iitjee.
Now let’s analyse the 4th point - the difficulty level of the questions.
As we are talking about the Jee advanced, the pattern and the difficulty level of the questions is very high, and the limited time frame adds up to make it more tough for the students.
Each year there’s a interesting surprise element in the question paper, which makes it more frightening for the students.
