Hey Anushka ,

A Ph. D. graduate who is qualified to teach and conduct research in the pharmacy area may also seek work as a regulatory affairs officer, a consultant, a science editor or medical writer, or a clinical trials manager. The typical annual pay is between 2 and 8 lakhs. However, income is dependent on the company and expertise, and an experienced professional can expect to earn around 10-12 lakhs per year. (Approx.).

You can also consider being a:

  • Professors and readers: A full-fledged doctor is usually given higher positions in colleges and universities; this is also a very respectable job that entails delivering students lectures and assisting in the development of their careers.
  • Scientists: This position can be found in both government research institutes and private firms, and is responsible for conducting research and development, as well as inventing new techniques, species medications, and other similar tasks. Scientists that work in drug discovery typically have a background in pharmaceutical or medicinal chemistry. They must pursue the creation of a new chemical entity or molecule.
  • Pharmacologists with experience in receptors and their ligands, as well as Cell Biologists with experience in G protein-coupled receptors, make up the field of receptor biology.
  • Cell Biology - New fields of research in the areas of cell therapy and tissue engineering mix with the necessity for mammalian cells as a protein manufacturing system. Many processes rely on cells as the engines and brains, and the biologist who grasps these new frontiers is at the forefront of the labour market.
  • Bioinformetics; Complete bioinformatics knowledge of CADD is highly desired. Work in structural biology, genomic annotations such as the Human Genome Project, computational chemistry, mathematics used in modelling complicated structures or processes, and biocomputational specialists may learn to design smaller compounds that achieve the same goals.
