Hi,
The final cutoffs will be released after the second phase of JEE Mains would be conducted in April. If you happen to sit for the second phase of the examination as well, then Best of the Two would be considered for final merit list.
On the basis of the percentile obtained in this attempt and your category, you stand a good chance to get admission in an NIT. However, the branch and the NIT would depend on the relative performance of other students interested for that course. It also depends on category and state quota (HS/ OS).
Check the link below for opening and closing ranks of various NITs for home state and other state for all categories:
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits
You can calculate your approximate rank by (100-81.45)% of 9,65,000.
All the best.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
To get admission in any of the NITs, one needs to have 98+ %ile score. And based on your percentile there are nearly no chances of you to get admission in any NIT though you belong to a reserve category. But you can get any of the private institutions in this percentile.
However, nothing can be predicted regarding the cutoff percentile as of now. So you will have to wait for the second session of JEE Mains to get over- after which the final results will be released by NTA.
So hope for the best.!
Good Luck.!!
Whereas, for the NITs- they will release their respective cutoffs after the final declaration of the result by NTA.
