CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test which is a national level of exam. It is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education . CBSE holds the CTET exam in two shifts wherein candidates have the option to appear in paper 1 or paper 2 or both the papers.

So , if you crack the exam then you will get the TET eligibility certificate and then you will be eligible to apply in the schools under the Central Government, unaided private schools, and schools under the administrative control of Union Territories.
