There are plenty of opportunities after your 12th Graduation which may provide you with equally great career scope and prospects like Engineering or Medical Education. Since you have mentioned the above two streams, it indicates you are from Science.

But I would always suggest you to first go for a full time Bachelors of Science in any subject in Graduation before you venture into any other stream.

After a B.Sc. , if interested in that subject you can follow it up with a Masters or Doctoral Degree for a career in Academics or Research. You may even consider appearing for Government Examinations like SSC CGL, IBPS PO, SBI PO, Railway RRB, UPSC CSE or RBI Grade B after Graduation, followed by prestigious Government Jobs.

Law has very exciting career scope and prospects and you can go for a LL.B. post your Graduation from some of the Top Law Universities of India like Nalsar Hyderabad, RGSOIPL IIT Kharagpur, Delhi University, JNU, National Law University, Manipal University, Symbiosis, AMITY etc.

Journalism has equally good career prospects and you may consider a degree in Mass Communication after Graduation from some of the Top Universities like IIMC, Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi University, Bennett University, Manipal University and so on.

Nowadays, many aspirants after graduation directly consider pursuing a MBA directly after Graduation. Post MBA you will have exciting career scope and prospects.

Here i would like to suggest you to choose any field according to your interest only . Further as every field is best, it depends on you, whether you are ready to put your heart into it or not . Medical and Engineering are two really vast fields and saying that one is better than the others makes no sense.
If one of these two was better the other one wouldn’t have existed. However they differ a lot from each other. So choose wisely according to your interest .
