Hello,
CSIR NET is basically for science specific domain as the subject for which candidates can appear are life science, earth science, biological science, physical science, mathematical science whereas in case of UGC NET it includes a total of 81 subjects where paper I is common for all subjects and paper two is domain specific, another important factor if you want to qualify JRF for CSIR then the age limit is 28 years while for UGC BET JRF it's 30 years, there is no upper age limit for lecturership though, also the total marks, exam pattern differs as in there are three sections in CSIR NET.
