Hey aspirant,
Hope you are doing well!
Major portion of the syllabus for both LLB and LLB Hons is same. But the difference lies in the following facts.
1. LLB Hons provides in depth knowledge and specialisation in the particular field. It imparts intensive study and training. It helps the students so meet present requirements and future challenges. It provides a detailed research dissertation in a specific area. Whereas, LLB course just offers an overview of the course and not specialisation. Both of these courses are offered at both private and public universities.
2.After LLB one can pursue simple LLM but not LLM(specialisation course), but after LLB Hons we can do the same.
After LLB Hons one can become :
Magistrate , Sub magistrate , Notary, Solicitors, Legal advisory, trustee, law reporter , public prosecutor etc. LLB Hons offers a three year graduate degree. The average fees for this course across India is INR 10,000 to INR 5 Lakhs.
These were the differences between both of these courses.
Hope it helps! ALL THE BEST!
Hello Jagtar,
Both LLB and LLB Honours degrees are offered at public as well as private universities providing a comprehensive and critical understanding of core legal principles and practical skills.
The difference between the two degrees is very slight with LLB Honours being more extensive. A LLB degree provides an overview of several subjects, whereas a LLB Honours degree provides a detailed, in-depth insight into each particular subject. LLB does not provide one with the specialisation whereas with a LLB Honours degree, one can obtain specialisation in any particular area of a subject. LLB Honours provides a detailed research dissertation in a specific area.
Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!
