what difference would it make if i do btech in biotechnology(not other branches) in amity noida instead of manipal?
Amity Schoolof Engineering was established with the focus to nurture the talent in various streams of Engineering. The fees are high unless you are filthy rich this shouldn’t concern you. But doing Btech from private university is step down when compared to doing Btech from NITs,IITs etc. But if you’re going for private than Amity is ranked no.1 in private university. It is thumbs up (Y).
The negatives of amity is lesser exposure to applications and the faculty could be better.
AMITY IS NO WAY A FAKE UNIVERSITY! It is recognized under the UGC, and its degrees hold good stead! So please do not have any doubts regarding the University's credentials.
the engineering course, in my opinion is more theoretical, rather than being more application oriented. Saying that, classes are regular, exams are conducted in an orderly manner and the faculty is fairly decent, who would probably do a decent job of getting the engineering concepts in place.
* Following are the rankings of Amity :
- Amity University has been ranked the no. 1 Pvt. University(Source : Education Times)
- Amity Institute of Biotechnology has been ranked the no. 1 Pvt. Biotech institute 3 years in a row (Source : Biospectrum Magazine)
- Amity School of Engineering has been ranked no.1 Pvt. Engineering Institute for placements (Source : Dataquest)
As for placements, they are decent i.e 3.5 lacs per annum that is considered average.Having a decent enough GPA in Amity, would almost guarantee you a job in one of the IT companies (avg. package being around 3.5L). If you're lucky enough, you could probably end up in one of the few companies, which would be related to your engineering domain.
