Computer science actually is a study of how to solve  theoretical problems, whereas software engineering is a study of how to solve more of practical and real world problem. Software engineers work in computer systems designing firms or those manufacturing companies which design electronic products . Software engineers,also known as software developers create softwares for computers and different applications.  Software engineer is very similar to computer science. It's a branch of engineering.
