Hello!

Doping is a common term used when you are studying Semiconductors. Doping means addition of Impurities in a pure Semiconductor, to increase the conductivity.

Doping is of two types :

  1. N type Semiconductor : It is made by adding an impurity to a pure semiconductor such as silicon or germanium.
  2. P type Semiconductor: The extrinsic p-Type Semiconductor is formed when a trivalent impurity is added to a pure semiconductor.

Hope this Helped:)

Hi Shivshakti,

Doping is a process of adding impurities in intrinsic semiconductors to change their properties off the elements normally trivalent and  pentavalent elements. Silicon and Germanium are used in doping for pentavalent atoms. Also positive that shows the atom is rich in efficiency of holes aur also with the positive charge ion.

I hope your question has been answered properly.

All the best!
