Dear Student ,
It depends on your job interest in which Govt Sector . Look , if you want to pursue your career in the field of geography , then I would suggest you to go for Higher Studies .
Otherwise , you can appear for SSC CGL or CHSL / Railways exams , in which you need to prepare Quant, reasoning, English and GA . Salary are fixed on the basis of different pay band .
or you can Go for UPSC CSE/ State Public Service exams , to become an IAS/ State PCS officer .. an Administrative level post with a decent salary .
Hope this helps !
Hello there,
After completing your bachelors course in geography you can go for number of masters courses which can help you land into better jobs.
You can work in various government sectors as Climatologists, Regional and Urban planners, Forest manager etc.
You can go for various teaching jobs. In exams such as UP-PGT you can apply only with your geography honours even you are not a B.Ed degree holder. You can go for higher education and become professor in various colleges.
You can appear in various competitive exams sucj as UPSC and state PSC with geography as your optional subject.
Your pay scale varies for different jobs. So you'll have to check it individually for the desired one.
In my opinion you should go for masters course in any of the different fields of geography for better job prospects.
Hope this help, all the best!!
