Hello,
The Choice filling and locking rules are different for All India Quota Counseling and State Counseling. The rules for the choice filling vary from state to state.
------ In All India Quota, AIQ Counseling if you forget to lock your choices after choice filling it automatically gets Locked and you will be allotted college if you make it to the merit after the results are published .
-------- In few states such as Uttar Pradesh, if you don't lock your choices after choice filling, then it wouldn't get locked automatically and you will be debarred from the Counseling Process.
------- Hence, it is better if you lock your choices within the stipulated time to avoid any hassle and uncomfortable situation later on.
