What happens if I take my debit card for signature proof for nmat? Someone said as the debit card doesn't contain the affixed signature the nmat conducting body does not allow you into the hall. They will ask you to get in writing from the bank manager that the sign was yours.

For the NMAT examination, you need to carry a valid Photo ID proof and a valid signature ID proof. As per the officials of NMAT, these documents will be accepted as valid photo ID proof:

  • Passport Issued by Government of India
  • PAN Card Issued by India
  • Voter's Identity Proof
  • Aadhaar Card

And as signature proof you can keep one of these documents:

  • Passport Issued by Government of India
  • PAN Card Issued by India
  • Debit card or Credit Card
  • Driving license

Any other documents except the above mentioned ones will not be accepted and you need to bring these documents in original as no photocopies will be entertained by the authority.
