What happens if there is a vacant seat in IITs college for reserved category like ST, will the vacant seat be occupied by other category or?

Thanks for asking your query,the seat will remain vacant in the IITs of reserved classes because reservation system in every engineering institution are followed according to the rules and regulations.

Hello,

There is particular number of seats reserved for each category for a certain branch in IITs.

So if there is a seat vacant for ST category and is reserved for a ST student then it cannot be taken by any other category.

The reservation system works accordingly and allots seats as per proper rules and regulations.
