In jossa counselling students qualified in mains/advanced are given chance to participate.

Candidates has to choose the preferences of both nits/gftis and iits if he qualifies in advanced., else if he qualify only in mains then he can't out for iits.



You should give the options starting from best to least i. e list should be according to your desire in course,  to get a good choice.



Since, the council will come from choice one and stops at the College which you will get., in that case if you opt a bad college in the 1st place, you would get that and  the option can't move down.

JoSAA counselling 2017 will be organized after the announcement of JEE Advanced result and JEE Main (AIR). JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) is a counselling authority which is set up by the MHRD (Ministry of Human Resources Development). JoSAA conducts and manages all the counselling related activities for admissions in IITs, ISM, NITs, IIITs, NSITs and other GFTIs. Here is the details about JoSAA 2017 Counselling including dates and procedure.

JoSAA Counselling 2017

After the announcement of the JEE Advanced result & JEE Main (AIR), the JoSAA 2017 counselling will be started. Only those candidates will be able to participate in the counselling process who have secured rank in the rank list. JEE Advanced 2017 seat allotment will be started from19th June 2017 to 18th July 2017. Registration, filling & locking choices, seat acceptance fee payment process will be done via online mode. Document verification and other reporting process will be conducted through offline mode.

JoSAA Counselling 2019 -Joint Seat Allocation Authority will be conducting the counselling of JoSAA 2019 for all qualified candidates. Registrations for JoSAA 2019 counselling will be open tentatively in the second week of June. All qualified candidates will have to register for JoSAA counselling 2019 and meet the required eligibility criteria. The list of available courses and institutes will be listed out according to their eligibility.JEE Maincandidates will be eligible only for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs whileJEE Advancedcandidates will be able to apply for all institutes including IITs. Allotment of seats through the counselling of JoSAA 2019 will be done as per the merit, preference and category of the candidates.
