Hi Manisha Yadav,

After you have successfully completed BSC degree in Chemistry, you can either opt for jobs or go for higher studies. Going for higher studies is advisable since the job opportunities are diversified and are high paid as compared to the jobs after BSc. For higher studies you can either opt for MSC and then further enter into fields like research, PhD or teaching. You can also opt for MBA by answering an entrance exam called CAT. MBA is only if you are interested into business and management. MSC in Chemistry is a 2-year course. You will have to answer entrance tests like IIT JAM, BHU entrance exam, or chemistry entrance exam.

Good luck!!

Hello,

Career options after B.Sc Chemistry:

  • Analytical chemist, Biomedical chemist, Lab chemist, chemical engineering associate, material technologist, Production chemist, production officer, quality control, Medical representative, R&D (Research and development) etc.
  • However, you can also opt for higher studies, i.e. M.Sc chemistry with specialization in Organic chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Pharmaceutical chemistry, physical and materials chemistry.
  • You can also go for an MBA, i.e. master of business administration.  Since the prestigious b-schools look for diversity in their campuses, you'll have a much greater advantage. Other fields like Banking, Law are also open.

Thankyou
