What I should do to become an NDA Officer?

Hello there. It's great to see that you have a ambition to be an officer in army.

For that you have to go through a certain process. Firstly you need to qualify the exam that is being held by UPSC. The exam take place twice in a year. Once around April and another around September. The exam is conducted in two parts. The first one is mathematics based which includes questions related to mathematics from class 11 and 12. The second paper is of general awareness which includes general knowledge along with physics chemistry. The paper also include reasoning section.

Now after the exam is over, firstly mathematics paper is checked. If you qualify in it then only second paper will be checked otherwise not. So clearing first paper is must. After the result is being declared, the selected candidates are called for SSB as per the side they have choosen for i.e. whether it is army,airforce,navy or naval academy. SSB is a 5 day long exercise which take place in order to check the candidate whether he is capable for it or not. This includes screening in which your documents will be verified and some aptitude related test will be conducted. After that the candidates are shown a blur image and have to write a story from your own. After that a GD take place where all the candidates discuss about there stories. Once this done,the first stage of ruling out starts. From here only selected candidates moves on. Now for next 3  days, group activities are organized to check your skills and physics. In between interview will be conducted in which the officers have a proper interaction with you and check out for your behavior and all the other aspects. On last day confrence take place which decides whether you are selected or not. After all this medical take place and final list is displayed. The one selected in merit list goes in NDA for further training which is of 4 years. First 3 years are spend in NDA while the last year in being in respective head bases for all the forces. After successful completion of these years, the passout ceremony take place after which the passout become lieutenant. After 2 year of lieutenant, the promotion take place and you keep climbing high in the rank.
