Hi,

It does not matter at all what your undergraduate degree is! Be it B.Sc., B.Tech or BBA. Also if you take exams like CAT, XAT, GMAT etc., you would find it has applications of basic English, Mathematics that we studied till class 10th. Having said that, engineers have a slighter advantage in these competitive examinations because of their better Quantitative Aptitude. But that does not mean non-engineers do not crack these exams. Infact, the IIMs and other premier B-Schools give extra marks to non-engineers to increase the diversity of profiles of students at their campuses. All it boils down to is, your performance in these exams and the "brand' of your undergraduate college, which would not only be a differentiating factor during selection to a B-School, but also helpful during placements.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!
