It won't affect your job profile if you change your field from bsc Zoology to Msc life science. Life science itself has Zoology has its part. Many students change their stream after zoology into genetics, Neuroscience or microbiology. All these fields are available in good colleges.

I would suggest you that if you really have interest in biology field and want to go in research field then choose institutes like IISC, IISER, IITs. These institutes will give you better exposure.

As far as I know zoology comes under life science itself. Infact life science is the wider prospect of the subject Biology and zoology is the specialization.

The subjects you can choose after a BSc in Zoology are:

Master of Science in Zoology

Master of Science in applied Zoology

Doctor of Philosphy in Zoology

Post Graduate Diploma in Life Science

Master of Business Administration

Master of Science in Zoology(Honors)

Master of Philosphy in Zoology

Master of Philosphy in Life Science. It wont affect your job profile if you jump from one stream of life science (UG) to another specialization of life science (PG) however the chances that you can switch depends on the institute you would be applying for as different colleges have different criterias.
