what if I take drop this year? Is it good or bad.

This is totally your decision. If you think that taking a drop this year will land you in a better position than now, surely go for it. But if you doubt that you will not be able to get in a better position than this even after one year, I would suggest that do not go for it. These days college really matters a little. Yes IITs and NITs do, but only to an extent. Prepare as much as you can for upcoming JEE.
