Well, BDS and BAMS both are reputed degrees. BDS provides you with sufficient knowledge of the mouth while BAMS gives you in-depth knowledge of the  Ayurvedic treatment relating to human health. Therefore, you cannot compare the two. However, comparing the salaries and placements BDS has better scope and salary in India rather than BAMS.

BDS stands for Bachelor of Dental Surgery and BAMS is Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery.

But getting seat in BDS is tougher than getting seat in BAMS and also NEET is mostly needed to get seat in these two courses. Moreover, there is quite good scope for BDS in India. To get more better opportunities you can opt for further studies. Coming to BAMS, if you pursue Masters only then there will be scope and only Bachelor's degree can not give you good job opportunities.

And, I would highly recommend you to choose your area of interest. The scope Between both is quite matchable. Choosing the field you are interested in makes it easy to learn it and moreover you will definitely succeed.
