The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level PG entrance exam conducted by 7 IITs and IISc Bangalore on behalf of the National Coordinating Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, MHRD.

IIT Guwahati will conduct GATE 2018 exam on February 3 & 4 and 10 & 11, 2018 for admission to PG programs in engineering i.e. M.E./M.Tech/Ph.D. at the IITs, IISc, NITs, GFTIs and other Universities in India. GATE score will also be used for PSUs recruitments.

Clearing your GATE exam is a major milestone and opens the doors to lots of career opportunities. Several PSUs these days employ candidates with good GATE scores. BHEL, IOCL, ONGC, SAIL, NTPC, HPCL, PGCIL, BARC and over 200 more PSUs present in the country consider the GATE exam scores as a criterion to recruit engineers.
