The score is subject to change every year depending upon the toughness of the paper ,the quality of the paper differs. For mediocre nits a rank of 5k would be enough but for top nits a rank of 2k is required.

As we go through the latest cut-off of JEE-Main 2020 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows if the candidates is having his/her rank under 5000 can some average NITs for Architecture but if you want top NITs like NIT Trichy then you should aim for under 2900 in EWS category as last year the closing rank for NIT Trichy was 2912 for Architecture branch in NIT Trichy under Home state quota for EWS category. Now to secure such rank you should have your JEE-Main 2021 score at least 300 marks out of 400.
