  • SCB ( State and Central Boards Channel ) is one of the channels to get admission in IISERs (others being KVPY and JEE Advanced).
  • Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT (IISER Aptitude Test) 2019.
  • However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board.
  • Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country. The exam is going to be online mode.
  • The aptitude test is computer based 3 hours test of 180 marks comprising four subjects with equal weightage - physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology (15 MCQ type questions each).
