Correct Answer: 52%


Solution : Given, Successive discounts = 20%, 25%, and 20%
Single equivalent discount = $(a+b-\frac{a×b}{100}$)%, where $a$% and $b$% are successive discounts.
$=20+25-\frac{20\times 25}{100}$
$=45-5=40$%
Again, for 40% and 20%, we get,
⇒ $40+20-\frac{40\times20}{100}$
$=60-8=52$%
Hence, the correct answer is 52%.
