Gourav,
Acid rain is a form of precipitation with the acidic components such as nitric acid (HNo3) or sulphuric acid (H2So4) etc. When this acid fall to the ground in the fom of precipitation or in dry form, it is called acid rain or acid deposition. Precipitation and dry form here includes rain, snow, fog , hail or even the dust which is acidic in nature. Acid rain is very harmful specially when a surface or thing is exposed to it in a regular period. Acid rain that seeps into the ground can dissolve nutrients, such as magnesium and calcium, that trees need to be healthy. Acid rain also causes aluminum to be released into the soil, which makes it difficult for trees to take up water. It also effects the other things such as marbel, ph level of water etc. You can consider the example of taj Mahal which is said to degraded its colour from white to yellowish by acid rain.
