Agricultural engineering is the engineering of agricultural production and processing. Agricultural engineering combines the disciplines of mechanical, civil, electrical, Food science and chemical engineering principles with a knowledge of agricultural principles according to technological principles.

This branch of Engineering mainly deals with the following jobs:

Design agricultural machinery components and equipment, using computer-aided design (CAD) technology. Test agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure that they perform properly. Design food-processing plants and supervise manufacturing operations.

Basically agriculture engineering is related to fields with agriculture.It is combination of Mechanical,civil and other branches of engineering which is used to convert agriculture into Technical principes and hence to make agriculture auromate and easy.
It also includes surveying of fields , Development of machinery and climatology etc.
From a survey it is seen that 5 percent growth in employment of agriculture engineering from past 10 years .it also deals with farm machinery and land development which helps farmers a lot in future .
