An agricultural officer is working with the problems of farmer and for development of agriculture. They also work with companies associated with agriculture. They help to make better decisions to farmers for increase agricultural products.

Eligibility criterias for Agricultural officer are

He or She must be a citizen of India or Nepal or Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who came over India before 1st Jan 1962.

Age limit for Agricultural officer is in between 20-30 years minimum. There are upper age relaxation for categories like SC/ST- 5years, OBC- 3years, PwD - 10years, Ex-servicemen - 5 years, persons domiciled in J&K - 5years ( during 1-1-80 to 31-12-89 period), person affected by 1984 riots - 5years.

Educational qualification for the officer is the candidate must have graduate and postgraduate degree in the relevant field.
