What is AME CET 2018? And which type of jobs are offered here
There is a hoax created among the aspirants that for admissions in any of the DGCA approved institution a candidate has to go through AME Common Entrance Test examination.
I would like to clarify that there is no such thing as CET for AME institutions. For confirmation you may check by calling & checking for this fact with leading AME institutions across all corners of India like JRN Institute of Aviation Technology in North, HIET Madras in South, Ahmedabad Aviation Academy in West & BIA Patna in East India. This hoax has been created by some non aviation individuals who had set up fake websites like All India Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Examination & www.amecet.in , who claim to spearhead entrance tests for the admissions in these DGCA approved institutions. These fraud individuals ask for the registration by payment of online fee through their portal, which are non DGCA approved & without any affiliation to any Govt of India authority, misguiding aspiring candidates.
For information of interested candidates, recently in the end of year 2017 DGCA has introduced CAR Part 147 regulations for the Basic AME training in Cat A, Cat B1 & Cat B2. The old regulations (E Part VIII), which were applicable previously cease to exist (refer DGCA official website www.dgca.nic.in ) & currently none of the organisation's has been approved by DGCA to conduct this AME training for the forthcoming 2018 session.
Most of the institutions had applied for approval as per Part 147 requirements but at the end out of current 50 or so approved organisation hardly 10 to 15 will exist once this admissions for 2018 session begins. I would highly recommend to check out Approval Certificate & status check of every individual organisation before going ahead for their individual aptitude test & seeking admission in future.
In current scenario Aviation sector is booming & many agents & consultants are mushrooming up who for sake of assistance cheat students by giving them false assurances. Don't fall for them. If you are truly inclined & dedicated towards this stream then go for fact check of individual institution all by yourself rather than someone recommending you.
