Hello aspirant,
Following is the answer of your question
Electrical generators:
An electrical generator is a device which converts mechanical energy to electrical energy to perform some work. The resource for these generators include :
Steam turbines
Water turbines
Gas turbines
Wind turbines
Internal combustion engines.
Modern electrical generators work on the principle of electromagnetic induction invented by Michael Faraday. The electrical generator consists of the following parts :
A frame
An engine
An alternator
A fuel system
A voltage regulator
A cooling system
A lubricator system
An exhaust system
Charger
Main control.

These electrical generators are two types they are :
AC generator
DC generator
Uses of electrical generators are:
1. To provide power for large power networks.
2. It is used at construction sites.
3. It is used at transportation
4. It is used to drive motors
5. It is for good backup at household items.

Hello student!!
  • Electrical generator is adevicethat converts motive power (mechanical energy) into electrical power for use in an external circuit.
  • The modern-day generator works on the principle of electromagnetic induction discovered by Michael Faraday in 1831-32. Faraday discovered that the above flow of electric charges could be induced by moving an electrical conductor, such as a wire that contains electric charges, in a magnetic field. This movement creates a voltage difference between the two ends of the wire or electrical conductor, which in turn causes the electric charges to flow, thus generating electric current.

Hope it helps.
