Hello Aspirant,
The difference between BA and BA(Hons) is this that a B.A student doesn’t specialize in any one particular subject of his/her choice. If a student is pursuing B.A or Bachelor in Arts, he/she would require studying around 5 subjects considered to be a part of Arts education or Humanities like History, Geography, Pol Science, Environmental Science etc, whereas if a student pursues B.A(Hons) then he/she would be specializing in only one arts subject like English or History and most of the subjects in his/her syllabus would be different fields of the main subject that he/she has taken an honors in for example an English(Hons) student might be having Classical literature, Contemporary literature, Modern Indian Literature, Modern European Drama and a paper in History, Geography or Political Science.
Both B.A and B.A(Hons) are undergraduate courses but the sole difference is this that in Hons you are specializing in one particular subject, so you’ll have more papers of that subject and the syllabus for the B.A(Hons) courses are difficult as compared to the B.A course.
Hope this helps you.
All the best for your future.
