Hope you are doing great. An optometrist is a person, who examines, diagnoses, and treats the disorders and diseases, that are related to eyes. However, we may confuse it with regard to ophthalmologist, ophthalmologist is a person, who mainly perform surgeries and operations to the eyes.
The qualification for becoming an optometrist:
To be an optometrist, you need to earn a degree in the course of optometry, and this need to be approved by General Optical Council. The optometry is a four year course, you do not need NEET qualification to this. However, you must score, 50% marks in your 12th standard exams.
