Hi pal,.

The education program for both courses is same about 98%.But the work make here some little difference.

The audio engineering professional will track down any types of problems with the chains of the audio signal. The physical duties of an audio engineer are generally the same as that of a sound engineer. But sound Engineers are considered higher than sound engineer.

Generally speaking, a sound engineer is considered to be supervisor to an audio engineer.

Hope this will help you.

Good luck.

Hello Radhika,

Firstly let me tell you about sound engineering.

Sound Engineering is one of the branches of engineering discipline which deals with the study of music, movies and theatre in recording, manipulation, mixing and reproduction. This field is challenging but at the same time rewarding as well.

Sound Engineers develop a high quality recording of music, speech and sound effects in studios. They use technical instruments to produce sound for film, radio, television.
They usually arrive at the concert sight before the performers and are involved in unloading and setting up the equipment and instruments along with the road crew.

And now talking about the difference,it is both the same field of engineering which is referring to. On thing which is noticed is that in western countries people use the term Audio Engineering and in asian countries the same field is commonly referred to as Sound Engineering.

Hope this answer is helpful to you. All the best.Thank you.
