The highest package in my knowledge has been around 10 lakh(CTC). Microsoft offered it to one of the computer engineer. However it was off campus. It involved an entrance examination followed by technical rounds plus a Skype interview.

Apart from that an average of 4–5.3 lakh package is earned every year. Especially mechanical branch.
