Hello Honey Torawane. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
First of all, you should understand that JEE Mains and JEE Advanced are two totally different cups of tea altogether. I will tell you why.
- While the aim of JEE-Mains is to make sure that students understand their class 11th and 12th syllabus properly, JEE-Advanced is more geared towards evaluating the analytical and problem-solving skills of the students.
- The JEE-main syllabus is the same as CBSE syllabus. JEE-Advanced has a slightly different syllabus. There are some topics in JEE-Main that are not in the JEE-Advanced syllabus. For example, some chapters like Chemistry in Everyday Life, Semiconductors, and transistors aren’t a part of the JEE-Advanced syllabus.
So, I would summarise by saying that: JEE Mains is all about quantity, but JEE Advanced is all about quality.
So, I would like you to refer to these links for answers of mine:

And, I would please advice you to look at Arihant's Publications Previous Years Questions if you want to know the detailed coverage of all topics ( both class 11 and 12 ) in all PCM subjects.
I would also please request you to listen to one piece of advice: Practice and revision makes a man perfect.
So, I would please advice you to utilise your time effectively in these things and then nit cry later on in life.
Hope this answer helps you and all the best!
First of all, read NCERT books thoroughly. It will help you clear concepts as well as prepare you for JEE Mains. Solve about 50% problems from the back questions. Don't waste much time on it and if you feel them easy just recall the method, don't solve fully. The solve some standard books like maybe H.C.Verma for physics, S.L.Loney (trigonometry and coordinate geometry). And if you wish you should solve study material of some good coaching.
If You Really want to be an IITian then you must concentrate on IIT Syllabus not divide it into 11th and 12th.
All the very best and good luck.
Hello Honey Torawane
See 11th syllabus isn't 100 percent important for JEE Mains or Advanced but it definitely has a comparable weightage to your 12th syllabus in the stated exams.
Your NCERT course books are important both for the Board Examinations and JEE Mains & Advanced.
Going through the previous year papers and checking out the marks weightage would definitely give you a much clearer image.
I hope this helps.
Dear Honey,
In order to prepare for JEE (Main+Advanced) exam you can start your preparation by NCERT books it will help you to build your concepts strong.
For preparing for JEE (Main+Advanced) both 11th and 12th class syllabus is important.
You can check the weightage of both the classes below for JEE Main according to previous year
Chemistry

12th Class-64 marks
Physics

12th Class-68 marks
Mathematics

To get good marks in your exam you can focus on the topics which carries more weightage in the exam. You can also solve the previous year papers to understand the exam pattern and level of the questions.
