Hi, it mainly depends on what kind of portfolio and career you want to build towards. The main focus of the B.E. (Bachelor of Engineering Programs is to equip the student with the theoretical knowledge needed to innovate technology and also invent some new technical gadgets, while B. Tech (Bachelor of Technology programs are usually application and skill-based courses. Their prime focus is on making the student understand the technology behind the working of gadgets and modify or enhance their quality of working.

So if you want to focus on knowledge oriented courses and  theoretical side of the curriculum, then BE is better, and if you want a skill oriented and practical side of the curriculum, then BTech is better. There's not too much difference in scope of both, as nowadays both are mostly similar in colleges.

Hope this helps!

In general, both the degrees are considered to be equivalent. They just differ in Nomenclature. Both the courses are of 4 years. Students having B.E. or B.Tech are not treated differently. You may find little but difference in the syllabus of these two. Some studies say that Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) is more focused on theoretical concept, while Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) is more focused on practical studies. B.Tech makes you more skill oriented while B.E. is knowledge based. But as such there is no major difference between these two regarding curriculum orpractical training or even future demand. Otherwise everything is same. Your performance matters than your degree. Both B.E. and B.Tech graduates are hired by same companies. But nowadays B.E. is in trend. Most of the Institutes has converted their B.Tech degrees into B.E. But There is nothing to differentiate these two. Placements Statistics of these two are same. You can go for the one you want.
