What is better BDS or bams or bvsc&ah or bsc agriculture through Icar for present unemployement scenario
Dear Pramod
Every degree from BDS, BAMS, BVSc & AH and BSc Agriculture, has its own place, even when it comes to employment scenario.
- Job-Orientation: If you are looking for immediate employment after under-graduation, then BDS/BAMS/BVSc & AH, offers good prospects since they are job-oriented course. BSc Agriculture, on the other hand, will require more specialization and studies via Masters, etc. to get a job. Most students pursue Masters after BSc Agriculture, and then go for research positions, teaching, lecturer, etc.
- Government Vacancies: Government vacancies are also released for all of these courses in Employment News, individual websites, etc. BDS undergraduates can apply for Dental Officer position, BAMS graudates can apply for positions of Ayurvedic Medical Officer released for Dispensaries, Govt. Hospitals, etc. BVSc & AH graudates can apply for the vacancies of their fields. BSc Agriculture graduates can work in a government research organization, or under a researcher while pursuing specialized courses.
-
Private Practice:
Besides the job options mentioned above, BDS/BAMS/BVSc all of these offer a great option of opening private practice right after the course completion. In the present scenario, rural areas offer immense opportunities for private practice in all these three fields as the concentration of professionals is low in these areas compared to urban.
Ultimately, you should take a decision based on where your disposition lies when it comes to choosing a career, instead of just looking at job prospects in isolation, since a lot, actually most of it depends upon the skills we acquire during the course and they become an important basis for employment.
Hope it helps.
All the best!
