what is better btech or BSc in data science

A BTech in data science is better than a BSc since BTech is a professional course and BSc is not. Btech is a 4-year course while Bsc is a 3-year course. So, they get one more year to explore more and study more concepts and practicals. Btech get too many opportunities in terms of jobs. This I am writing with my personal experience, when I used to apply for jobs during my final year, there used to be an option BE/BTECH/MCA. So, for data science also they will prefer Btech and BE people over BSc. It is always better to go for Btech instead of Taking Bsc.

Data Science is one of the growing fields which have really good employability in the industries. Now if you want to go for a course which offers jobs just after the completion of your UG then as per my choice, BTech Data Science will be a better choice. Now if you want to go for the course in which you want to do research or you are up to do MSc then go for the BSc Data Science. BSc Data Science is a great course. You will get the essence of Mathematics and Statistics as well as the Data Science in this course, but just after BSc getting job is tough. If you have BSc with research then you have good perspective of getting jobs after BSc else you have to opt for MSc for the industrial job options.
