Hello Sweedal,
There is no major difference and both branches are related to each other.
IT engineers solve various technological challenges by applying their technical knowledge. They can also create new technologies by using software programs.
On the other hand, Computer science engineering is one of the most popular course among engineering aspirants. The main focus of this course is on the basic methods of computer programming and networking. By persuing this course one will gain knowledge about designing, implementation and management of information system.
You can choose any one and if you are sincere and work hard you will surely be in a good position.

Job profiles for an IT Engineer:- Software Engineer, Technical Support, Network Engineer and many more.
Information technology is a sub field of Computer science Engineering. Both have almost same subjects, the difference is that in CSE you study both, software and hardware though hardware is not taught in core but it is required to study some hardware components in your 3rd or 4th year of Engineering, where as in IT you only study software.
If you are interested only in software then go for IT but if you do have interest in hardware as well as software then CSE is the best.
