B.Ed in BHU is a 1 year course. The basic eligibility criteria is that you should have completed your Graduation in any stream with a minimum aggregate of 50%. This aggregate should be in all subject in those 3 years except those subjects in which you just need to pass but do not contribute to the final degree mark sheet. You should have studied atleast one school subject among Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Science, Mathematics, Economics, Commerce, History, Geography, Political Science or Home Science. Even Post Graduation in MA/M.Sc/M.Com with a minimum aggregate 50% can also study B.Ed. For more information, please visit their official website: http://www.bhu.ac.in/education/ugcourses.pdf . Regarding the entrance exam, BHU UET is the entrance exam for admission to B.Ed course. The exam will be held on  28th May. You can fill in the form at: http://bhu2.ucanapply.com/Entrance/entrance/?app-id=UElZMDAwMDkzMA== The syllabus for the exam will include Teaching Aptitude, Reasoning, Current Education scenario, Science, Mathematics, Social Sciences and Humanities. The exam is for 150 minutes and 100 questions will be given and the total exam is for 300 marks. Every correct answer gives you 3 marks and a wrong answer takes away 1 mark due to negative marking.

There shall be one paper of 150 minutes (Two and half hours) duration carrying 300 marks containing 100 MCQs, to be divided into the following two parts:

a) 30 MCQs on teaching aptitude, reasoning, current educational scenario.
b) There will be four subject groups such as Languages, Mathematics, Sciences and Humanities and social sciences.

You will be required to appear in the group for which you have given option in the application form on the basis of your eligibility. Each group will have 70 MCQs. The distribution of questions in the various groups will be as under:
  • Languages- Equitable items from Hindi, English, Sanskrit.
  • Science- Equitable items from Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics and Home Science, Computer Science.
  • Mathematics- Majority of the items will be from Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science.
  • Humanities and Social Sciences- Equitable items from History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Commerce and Home Science.
