Courses offered in Animation and Design in various design institutes across India are aimed at training students in the various aspects of Animation, Gaming and Design. They undergo practical training in Visual Development for Animation and Games, Personality and Caricature, Fundamentals of Animation, Character Design and Story Boarding, Stopmotion, VFX for Film and Games, multiple CGI skill-sets and training on various industry standard software. Students having enrolled into the programme undergo comprehensive training in the entire production pipeline and process right from ideation to screen with respect to animation filmmaking. Furthermore, they are taught how to record animation with analogue media, flip books, motion picture films, videotape and digital media, the latter including formats such as animated GIF, Flash animation and digital video. Coursework aims at introducing them to the traditional animation creation method alongside those involving stop motion of 2D and 3D objects, paper cutouts, puppets and clay figures.
