Cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells leading to formation of neoplasm unlike benign tumors which doesn't spread cancer cells or tumour cells can metastasis from one part of the body to another part of the body. Important points are

1. Unresponsiveness of inhibitory action to cell growth

2. Avoidance of apoptosis.

3. Property of angiogenesis.

4. Metastasis and secondary growth.
