A capacitor “bank” is simply two or more capacitors physically grouped together in the same location. Depending on the application, multiple capacitors can be connected either in parallel or series, depending on whether the load requires more capacitance (and capacitive reactance) or operates at a higher voltage than can be satisfied with a single capacitor.
