Robert Hooke (an English Botanist) discovered cell in 1665.

Cells are the structural, functional, and biological units of all living beings. A cell can replicate itself independently.

Or

Cells are the structural and functional units of life.


Mitochondria is the power house of the cell.

There are two types of cells.

i.Prokaryotic cells

ii.Eukaryotic cells


Prokaryotic Cells- Prokaryotic Cells contains nucleus.

Prokaryotes are single celled organism.


Eukaryotic Cells- Eukaryotic Cells do not contains nucleus .

Eukaryotes are either single celled or multicellular.
