what is chemical bonding in chemistry
Hello aspirant
A chemical bond is a lasting attraction between atoms, ions or molecules that enables the formation of chemical compounds. The bond may result from the electrostatic force of attraction between oppositely charged ions as in ionic bonds or through to the sharing electrons as in covalent bonds. The process is known as chemical bonding.
There are 3 types of chemical bonding
Ionic
Covalent
Matallic
These bonds occur when electrons are transferred from one atom to another and are result of attraction between the resulting oppositely charged ions.
In general, chemical bonding is the interaction between two or more atoms/molecules/ions of an element to form different molecules and compounds.
Or one can say that a chemical bond is what joins atoms together.
There are several forces responsible behind such interactions, which lead to formation of four different types of chemical bonds :-
1. Ionic Bonds
2. Covalent Bonds
3. Polar Bonds
4. Hydrogen Bonds

I hope this answer will help you.
hey,
we can define a chemical bond as the atoms, ions and molecule have the lasting attraction between them which result into formation of a chemical compound ,the bond they have is because of the electrostatic force of attraction between oppositely charged ions like in ionic bonds.
hope you find it informative!
